We recognize the importance of access to healthy and nutritious food for everyone. And that is why we’re committed to fighting hunger in Chicago by providing access to food as a reliable food charity organization.
Overview of our Food Access Program
Our food access program aims to provide food for the poor and charity to individuals and families struggling to meet their basic nutritional needs. Our program is designed to offer a range of food-related assistance, including:
- Food Donation Centers: We provide resources to multiple food donation centers throughout Chicago, where individuals and families can go and pick up a week’s worth of groceries. Many centers are stocked with healthy and nutritious food such as fresh produce, dairy, grains, and proteins.
- Community Kitchens: Community kitchens are where people can go and share a meal. We provide a list of soup kitchens that are welcoming environments for individuals and families to sit and enjoy a nutritious meal together.
- Meal Delivery: For individuals who are unable to leave their homes, we offer meal delivery services. Our volunteers deliver healthy and nutritious meals to people’s doorsteps, ensuring they can access food.
